Andrew Carpenter commenced life as DJ Andrew St.John in July 1975 and spent the first six years of his career carrying out mobiles discos across the West Country. From 1981 – 1994 Andrew entered the world of the nightclubs working at Oscars at Longleat, Legends in Gillingham and Goldiggers in Chippenham where he was voted DJ of the Year for South Wales and the South West in 1986 amongst others.
When Center Parcs opened at Longleat in 1994 Andrew moved there as resident DJ and compere until 2006 when Andrew went full circle to once again carry out mobile discos at Orchardleigh House in Frome, Bailbrook House Hotel in Bath and The Mill @ Rode along with many other venues.
Daddy Cool is a character first created by Andrew in the late 1990's for a 'one off' 70's gig in Bath. So successful was that 'one off' that a regular 'Boogie Wonderland' gig followed quarterly at The Pavilion in Bath and later at the University of Bath's Student Union. Andrew has gone on to take his 'Daddy Cool' character to a number of nightclubs and has performed regularly at corporate functions and other events such as birthday parties and Fresher's Balls.
Andrew often includes a female dance troupe if the budget allows as well as a 70's quiz if required to get the evening off to a lively start.
